Reflections of Community Meetings – March 2026<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Independent Monitor hosted two community meetings (Brevard \u2013 March 9 and Asheville \u2013 March 10).  Both meetings followed the same agenda and format, including presentation from a guest speaker on regulatory processes.   For access to the video recording (Asheville \u2013 Western Carolina University at Biltmore Park) and the PowerPoint presentation slide deck, please see the links below.

Reflections of Community Conversation via Webinar – August 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On August 7, 2025, Dogwood Health Trust hosted a community conversation for the Independent Monitor to discuss its Annual Report for 2024, which was released to the public on July 29th.\u00a0 The conversation was conducted in an online, webinar format, and those in attendance had the opportunity to submit questions for Dogwood Health Trust and the Independent Monitor.

Reflections of Community Meetings – May 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In addition to meetings with citizens and groups, both in person and remotely, and touring HCA\/Mission Hospital System facilities in collaboration with Dogwood Health Trust, the Independent Monitor hosted two community meetings (Marion \u2013 May 12 and Asheville \u2013 May 13).

The revised format included a presentation by the IM followed by an opportunity to meet with the IM Team and representatives of critical state regulatory agencies and HCA\/Mission Health System staff at resource tables for one-on-one conversations.

Both Community Meetings followed the same agenda and format. \u00a0We hope that the resource tables allowed you to meet and visit with representatives of the organizations who have authority to take action on behalf of the citizens of Western North Carolina.

Reflections of Community Meetings – January 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Independent Monitor Team visited Western North Carolina during the week of January 27 \u2013 31, 2025 and was able to meet in person and virtually with 11 individuals and groups and one civic organization.

Our appreciation to all individuals who welcomed our Team members, provided space for our meetings, and participated in meaningful discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
